The entire CD is a masterpiece. The Best Sade album thus far. You will love every song. A must for the collection. The entire album could be included on The Best of Sade.
Promise being Sade's 2nd studio album is a great second effort that mixes soul, jazz, R&B, quiet storm, soft rock, funk, easy listening and adult contemporary. Allmusic giving it 3/5 and Robert Christgau only a B. The album spawned two major hits, i.e., "The Sweetest Taboo" and "Never as Good as the First Time". The critics gave the album surprisingly low reviews. The booklet has some very fine photographs but contains no lyrics but does have a list of who plays what. 4/5.
Product came on time, and shrink wrapped. Looked and played great as a new cd.
